Herman A. Bautch, 90, of Whitehall, formerly of Independence, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Pigeon Falls Healthcare. He was born August 6, 1921 in Burnside Township, Trempealeau County, to Joseph F. and Rose (Woychik) Bautch. He married Marie Adank May 21, 1946 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Waumandee. She died in 1958. Herman was a farmer and operated construction equipment. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Whitehall. He loved to fish and enjoyed gardening and cooking. Survivors include his six children, Marjorie (Edward) Friedenfels of Eau Claire, Bernice (Ted Kopp) Seidl of Neillsville, Geraldine (Gerald) Pflanzer of Colby, Beverly (James) Molitor of Curtiss, Jeffrey (Terry) Bautch of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Henry (Barbara) Bautch of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Evelyn R. Bautch of Independence; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, son, Bernard; daughter, Joan; granddaughter, Leslie; four brothers, Ben, Alex, Clarence, Emil Bautch and a sister, Eleanor Killian. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Whitehall, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Whitehall. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Herman A.
