Betty Finley

INDEPENDENCE, WIS. – Betty Finley, 80, of Whitehall, Wis. died Friday, March 16, 2012, at Tri-County Memorial Nursing Home, Whitehall. Betty was born October 7, 1931 in Edgerton, Wis., to Fredrich and Dorothy (Holmes) Zahn. She married Malcolm Ely McNamara March 10, 1948 in Milton, Wis. He died December 31, 1963. She married Thomas E. Finley March 3, 1968. Betty came through many challenges in life with her indomitable spirit. She loved her family, making her homes beautiful and being in the garden. Betty loved being with people, had many treasured friends and her kind smile and spunky attitude will be greatly missed. Betty is survived by two daughters, Wendy Sense of Eden Prairie, Minn., Kellie (Dan) Backman of Independence, Wis.; a son, Jim (Kristin) Finley of De Pere, Wis.; two sisters, Beverly (Glenn) Lubbe and Margaret Klein both of Janesville, Wis.; twelve grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael (Gina) McNamara, Floyd (fiancée Stephanie), Abraham and Joshua (Alicia) Potvin, Montana and Louis Sense, Samuel, Amanda and Molly Backman, Gabe and Ellie Finley; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Samantha McNamara and Lucy Mae Sense. She was preceded in death by her husbands and a son, Mike McNamara. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, Wis. with Rev. Terry Lorenz officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
