William "Bill" L. Horton

William "Bill" Horton, 54, of rural Blair, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital and Clinics, Whitehall. Bill was born June 15, 1958 in Miami, Fla. to Troy and Diana (Potash) Horton. Bill worked as an auto mechanic and he had a passion for Harley motorcycles. He enjoyed farming in recent years and his cattle and dogs. He also enjoyed salt water fishing. Survivors include his companion, Karen Sylla of rural Blair; mother, Diana Johnsen of Tampa, Fla.; three children, Troy, Dustin and Kalynn Horton all of Leesburg, Fla.; two brothers, Dennis Sirkis of rural Blair and Mark Craig of Georgia; two grandsons, Brendon Riley Horton and Cash Horton. Bill was preceded in death by his father. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2013 at Edison Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
