Ernest L. Dubiel

Ernest L. Dubiel, 87, of Independence, died Monday, March 25, 2013 at Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitation, Eau Claire. Ernest was born May 16, 1925 in Burnside Township, Trempealeau County, to John and Julia (Lyga) Dubiel. He married Irene Bautch on June 3, 1946 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Independence. The couple farmed in Traverse Valley until retirement in 1974 and then moved to Independence. Survivors include his wife, Irene; daughter, Diane (Roger) Waletzko; son, Dennis (Nancy) Dubiel all of Independence; two sisters, Florence Kreibich and Esther (Laverne) Killian both of Independence; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Ernest was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Ernest L.
