Daniel Moga, 70, of Independence, died Saturday, June 8, 2013 at his home. He was born June 28, 1942 in Lincoln township, Trempealeau County, to Felix and Mary (Rawisky) Moga. Daniel married Marie Klink on September 18, 1971 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Independence. Daniel served in the U. S. Army and was a member of Sura-Wiersgalla American Legion Post 186. He loved his grandchildren, fishing, gardening, hunting and trapping. Survivors include his wife, Marie of Independence; two daughters, Cindy (Craig Bergerson) Truog of Northfield, Wis. and Sandra (Jason) Steig of York, Wis.; a brother, Alvin (Ila) Moga of Independence; five grandchildren, Bayli, Alex and Brianna Truog and Deacon and Emerson Steig. Daniel was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Carlson and Lorraine Moga; two brothers, Felix Jr. and Raymond Moga; three half-sisters, Delores Moga, Anna Whitlock and Alvina Kriesel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence. Burial, with military rites, will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
