Michael J. Walske

Michael J. Walske, 63, of rural Arcadia, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at his home. Michael was born October 26, 1952 in Arcadia to Lambert and Lucille (Schank) Walske. He married Diane Filla April 19, 1980 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence. The couple farmed in Arcadia Township. Mike loved his wife, family, the farm and life. He is survived by his wife, Diane of Arcadia; three children, Greg (Liz George) Walske, Beth (Jake) Wadewitz and Brian (Amber) Walske all of rural Arcadia; six grandchildren, Brayden, Brianna, Kanden, Brooklyn, Aubrey and Aliyah; two brothers, Charles (Suzanne) Walske of Osseo and Robert (Doris) Walske of Whitehall; three sisters, Jane Addamo-Reinke of Madison, Ruth (Earl) Pedretti of Onalaska and Lois (David) Ekern of Galesville; mother-in-law, Doris Filla of rural Arcadia; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Edmund Filla; nephew, Ron Walske; brothers-in-law, Gus Addamo and Gordon Reinke. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Arcadia. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary, and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
