Dean Arthur Heck

Dean Arthur Heck, 52, of rural Mondovi, died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at his home. Dean was born March 24, 1964 in Mondovi to Marvin and Marjorie (Sessions) Heck. He married Kirsten Kilness on July 31, 1993 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, rural Mondovi. Dean farmed on the farm that he was raised on in Canton Township. He raised pigs for many years. He showed sheep and pigs at county fairs. He graduated from Mondovi High School. He was a member of FFA and received American Farmer Degree in 1985. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Canton Township and played dart ball in the church league. Survivors include his wife Kirsten; two children, Russell and Melanie both at home; his parents, Marvin and Marjorie Heck of Mondovi; a brother, Dale (Mary) Heck of Durand; two sisters, Lois (Curt) Bloom of Eleva and Donna (Kurt) Engen of Mondovi; nieces and nephews, Julia, Sarah and Marsha Heck, Scott Bloom, Ann and Kate Engen. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, Mondovi, with Revs. Daniel Pfaffe and Paul Woebbeking officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Mondovi. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services at Zion Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
