Robert "Bobby" Matchey

INDEPENDENCE –Robert “Bobby” Matchey, 27, of Arcadia, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at his home. Bobby was born October 23, 1982 in Whitehall, to Mark and Marlene (Marsolek) Matchey. Bobby graduated from Independence High School in 2001. He worked at Ashley Furniture in Arcadia. He loved to shoot pool and was a great friend to many. He was a wonderful father to his daughters, Kylee Rose and Aubrey Lynn. Survivors include his two daughters, Kylee Rose and Aubrey Lynn; his parents, Mark (Margie) Matchey of Independence and Marlene Marsolek of Arcadia; two sisters, Melissa (John) Clemens of Blair and Tracy (Travis) Crebo of Mesa, Ariz.; paternal grandparents, Ladislaus and Audrey Matchey of Independence; nieces and nephew, Paige and Austin Clemens and Isabelle Crebo; step-brothers, Michael and Bryan Peterson, both of Independence; step-sister, Amanda (Chad) Schneider of Independence; step-niece and nephew, Bradyn and Brynna Schneider; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Bobby was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leonard and Theresa Marsolek. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Rev. David C. Kunz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 8-10 a.m. Thursday at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, where there will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
