Theresa Rebarchek

Theresa Rebarchek, 83, of Independence, died Saturday,July 3, 2010 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. She was born October 28, 1926 in Burnside Township, Trempealeau County, to John T. and Rose F. (Lyga) Bautch. Theresa married Herman H. Rebarchek on June 1, 1949 at SS.Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Independence. He died September 9, 2008. Survivors include her five children, Patrick (Lindi) Rebarchek of Arcadia, Tim (Marilyn) Rebarchek of Onalaska, Lynn (special friend Pat Schaefer) Sylla and Bradley (LouAnn) Rebarchek both of Independence and Margo (Scott) Sylla of Elk Creek; eleven grandchildren, Leslie (Dan) Kampa, Tonja Rebarchek, Mason (Ashley) Rebarchek, Aaron (Ashley) Rebarchek, Abby (Phil) McLain, Janel (special friend Jim Dabelstein) Sylla, Jessica (Kyle) Gruber, Juliann (fiancé Brent Ford) and Justine Sylla, Jared and Emily Rebarchek; two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Elizabeth Kampa; two expected great-grandchildren and a step-great-grandson, Skylar. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Eugene and Jerome Bautch; and a son-in-law, Stanley Sylla. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 5, 2010 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Rev. David C. Kunz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends and family may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 8-10 a.m. Monday at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, where there will be a prayer service followed by a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
