Jeanette Senty, 89, of Independence, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at her home.
Jeanette was born February 10, 1921 in Buffalo County, to John and Myrtle (Crandall) Julson. She married Edward C. Senty on October 3, 1941 at her home in Taylor. He died August 29, 1998.
The couple farmed on a 560 acre dairy farm in Waumandee until 1973 when they moved to Independence. Jeanette raised chickens and sold eggs for many years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and canning. She was a longtime member of Montana United Methodist Church and its ladies aid.
Survivors include her three daughters, Karen (Thomas) Karle of Florence, Wis., Gloria (Fritz) Fankhauser of Arcadia and Linda (Ronald) Killian of Independence; ten grandchildren, Travis Soppa, Melissa (Shannon) Kampmeier, Chad (Kelly) and Michelle Fankhauser, John (Sue Ellen) and Ericka (Brian) Konkel, Ron G., Doug, Dawn, and Dale Killian, 20 great-grandchildren, Alex Crivitz, Chelsie and Maggie Soppa, Miranda, Kendra and Matilda Konkel, C.J. “Chad Jr.”, Kylie, Hunter and Fritz Fankhauser, Kaden Litchfield, Audreya and Brogen Solberg, Shayla, Alexys, Breyona and Braidy Killian, Laila Lambert, Trystan and Bailey; three sisters, Margaret Steien of Black River Falls, Velma (Orville) Gruntzel of La Crosse, and Muriel (Theodore) Fisher of Sun City, Ariz.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Art Julson
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, with Tom Elliot officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Montana Methodist Cemetery, Buffalo County. Following services a lunch will be served at Four Seasons Park in Independence.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
