Ellerd Sather

Ellerd Sather, 80, of rural Strum, died Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Trempealeau County Health Care, Whitehall. Ellerd was born August 31, 1939, in Chimney Rock Township, Trempealeau County, to Martin and Olga (Storberg) Sather. Ellerd was a milk hauler for Elk Creek Creamery. He also hauled hay and did other short distance hauling. He delivered the Arrow Shopper for many years. He was a member of Chimney Rock Lutheran Church. He is survived by a niece, Linda Korte; four nephews, Gerald Hovey, David (Rita) Hovey, Randy and Brian Hovey. He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Hovey; two brothers, Maynard and Orville Hovey; two half-brothers, Lemoine and Alton Olson. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Chimney Rock Lutheran Church, rural Strum, with Rev. Paul Tobiason officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
