Geri E. Gibbons

Geraldine “Geri” Elaine Gibbons, 64 formerly of Dodge, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse surrounded by family. Geri was born on August 14, 1958 in La Crosse, WI to Vernon and Janet (Bellock) Gibbons. Geri was a free spirit and quick witted. She was an avid writer and spent many enjoyable hours fishing on the Mississippi and other local waterways. Geri’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her two children and four grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished every moment with her family. Geri was known for her kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need. She is survived by her children, Josh (Sam) Sobczak and Misse (Jonas) Schank; grandchildren, Hazel & Henry Schank and Kennedy & Kamden Sobczak; mother, Janet Gibbons; and siblings, Glen Gibbons, Gail (Dan) Cyert, Gordy Gibbons, Gile (Gidget) Gibbons; and Greg Gibbons. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Gibbons and brother, Gery “itch” Gibbons. Private family services for Geri will be held.
