Jeremy J. Prudlick, 40, of Galesville, died Sunday, October 18, 2020 at his home. Jeremy was born February 21, 1980, in Eau Claire, to Gregory and Laurie (Brunner) Prudlick. Jeremy grew up on a farm outside of Independence where he learned to love the outdoors, becoming an avid fisherman and hunter. He graduated from Independence High School in 1998 and then joined the US Marines and served from 2001-2004. He held many jobs in life from crab fishing to forklift repair. He was a jack-of-all trades. There was nothing that he could not do that he set his mind to. He worked as part of the re-building project following Hurricane Katrina. He was always willing to help anyone. He had a great love for children and teaching them about the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by many. He is survived by three children, Kendall Knotts and Joshua Knotts both of Jensen Beach, Fla. and Faith Prudlick of Griffin, Ga.; mother, Laurie Kampa of Eau Claire; brother, Chad (Amanda) Prudlick of Eau Claire, sister, Jayda (Ben Pabich) Kampa of Menomonie; niece, Jaylynn Albrecht of Eau Claire, grandfather, Ronald Brunner of Eau Claire; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Prudlick; paternal grandparents, Aloze and Lois Prudlick; maternal grandmother, Rita Brunner. A Celebration of Life gathering will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the home of Jamie and Heather Back (W27856 Guza Ln. Independence, Wis.) Military rites will be conducted by Sura-Wiersgalla American Legion Post 186 at 1:00 p.m.
