Nancy Ganschow

Nancy Ganschow, 78, of Arcadia, died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Grand View Care Center, Blair. Nancy was born July 30, 1940 in Milwaukee to Walter and Lillian (Bauman) Hubbes. She was raised in Milwaukee and graduated from Marquette University with a degree in education. She moved to Arcadia for a teaching job at Arcadia High School where she met Erwin Ganschow. They wed in 1964. They had four children.   She belonged to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Arcadia and later, SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence. Nancy is survived by her children, Patrick (Jodi) Ganschow of Arcadia, Christine (Jeff) Johnson of Minocqua, Wis., Robert (Terri) Ganschow of Mondovi and Heidi (Randy) Korpal of Rochester, Minn.; five grandchildren, Kennedy, Katrina, Sabrina, Zachary and Lucas Ganschow; brother, Robert (Judith) Hubbes of Fergus Falls, Minn.; other relatives and special friends, Carol and Junior Lager. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Erwin in 2000. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Arcadia. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at the church on Monday. The family requests memorials be directed to SS. Peter and Paul Catholic School, Independence.
