Pamela Sue Holtan

Pamela “Pam” Sue Holtan, 65, of Independence died on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Gundersen Health System in Eau Claire. Pam was born in Whitehall on September 12, 1956, to Wilbur J. and Bonita (Olson) Holtan. Attended schools in Whitehall and graduated from La Crosse Aquinas. Her family owned and operated Club Midway in Independence, where Pam worked in various positions until its closure. She became a licensed CNA and worked at local nursing homes. Pam ultimately found a home working in the kitchen at Kwik Trip and enjoyed her days with her “work family”. When Pam wasn’t working, she enjoyed crafting, knitting, quilting, but mostly ceramics she would create and paint. Pam loved her family and was especially fond of her nieces and nephews. She was an avid animal lover and found companionship with her pets: Oliver, Doodle and Buster. Pam is survived by her sisters: Cindy Olson of Strum and Jill Knudtson of Independence; nephews: Zackery (Renata) Olson and Heath Knudtson; niece: Maggie (Keith) Hawkins; great-nieces and nephews: Simi, Kaden, Olivia, Alex, Ethan, Marshall (Krissy), Madeline, Gwendolyn, Joscie, Paden, and Rollin; and special friends, Jessica Olson and Chad Back and their son, Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: Brad Holtan. Private burial will be held in Lincoln Cemetery.
